Salt & pepper to taste

*Rub garlic all over 8x12" casserole dish, grease with 1 Tbsp butter.
*Melt 2 Tbsp butter with the leeks in the microwave.
*Heat milk and cream until hot, not boiling.
*Put potatoes and leeks in the dish; add salt and pepper to taste.
*Sprinkle the top with cheese (a little bit in between the potato slices is good too!) and then pour the milk mixture over.
*Put the rest of the butter pats over the top.
*Bake for 45-50 min or until potatoes are tender when poked with a fork.
