Crust Ingredients:
First either make a homemade 9" pie crust or use the Pillsbury fresh pie dough that you roll out yourself. Dock meaning use a fork to poke holes in the bottom of the crust before you par or "pre" bake the crust at 350 until golden brown. Set aside to let cool.
Pie Filling Ingredients:
2C real unsalted butter softened
1 1/2 C sugar
4 1 oz bricks of dark chocolate melted. I buy the bakers chocolate.
2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
Directions:
** This recipe MUST be made using a high speed mixer "kitchen aid or equivalent".**
* Cream together butter and sugar
*Add melted chocolate and vanilla.
*Then mix 1 egg at a time. Each egg must beat for 5 minutes on high ( SUPER important to time this, so be sure you have beaten all 4 eggs at a total time of 20 minutes.....)
*You then chill the mix for 4 hours.
*Once chilled you can transfer to the pie crust. (Sometimes if the mix is really cold you will need to throw it back on the mixer for a second)
Whip cream Ingredients:
2 8oz containers of heavy whipping cream
1 C powder sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
*Whip together until stiff.
*Top pie with whip cream and shave some chocolate for garnish!
